Business Activities
The Kyoritsu Group is engaged primarily in non-life insurance intermediary business as well as life insurance and intermediary insurance for corporate clients. The Group also undertakes risk consulting. In Japan, Kyoritsu, being an insurance agency, owns an insurance brokerage and a risk management company as subsidiaries. Together, the Kyoritsu Group provides clients with a full lineup of services as an insurance intermediary, offering the research and analysis of corporate risks, the design and proposal of optimal insurance, consulting, appraisals and proposals of employee benefit programs.
In the area of International business, through its four insurance brokerage subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok and IBS Japan Desk in Jakarta, Kyoritsu provide insurance services mainly to Japanese corporations with operations in those regions. In particular, the subsidiary in Shanghai, Kyoritsu Insurance Brokers of China Co., Ltd (the first and fully licensed Japanese insurance broker in China) has been steadily expanding business since beginning operations in 2007.
The Kyoritsu Group has established business alliances with leading insurance brokers around the world, including the members of The Lockton Global and GBN Global Insurance Network. We support corporations that operate globally with the comprehensive administration of insurance for their overseas operations (for example, we implement worldwide insurance programs and arrange local insurance policies depending on client requirements).
